Christophe Delcourt and a team of in-house designers work hand in hand with the manufacturing ateliers. A network of highly skilled craftspeople, including cabinet makers, ceramists, brass casting experts, upholsterers and stone masons.

In close collaboration with Christophe and the Delcourt design team, these craftspeople using their individual expertise, bring these furniture designs to fruition.

They also ensure the quality control at every step of the crafting and manufacturing process, each piece being handled by one craftsperson from start to finish.

Delcourt is recognised for his unique timber finishes, ceramic glazes, marbles and travertines, patinated and polished bronze, all of the highest standard.

He is inspired by the long-standing tradition of Flemish design and craftsmanship and the peace and quiet and natural surroundings of the region where he was born, near Genk (BE), where he still lives and works today. At the same time, his passion for fashion, (contemporary?) art and the energy of large metropolises also influence his work.

Michaël Verheyden is the creative mind behind his collection but he also produces everything himself, in his own workshop. Every object he fashions is therefore really unique. He relies on a team of hand-picked local craftsmen for the components. But every product is handled, assembled and lovingly looked over by the master before it leaves the workshop. This approach guarantees the highest level of quality and finish.

Verheyden’s collection is sold in boutiques and showrooms worldwide. International architects and interior designers work with him, incorporating objects from his collection in their designs. In some cases, however, they choose the epitome of perfection and uniqueness, ordering bespoke designs by Michaël Verheyden.

Reference works in Verheyden’s collection include the G55 Lounger, the Potte vase in marble, the Héron lamp (CTO lighting) and Coupe and Cone (When Objects Work).

Michaël Verheyden won the Henry Van de Velde award for talented young designers and received the Wallpaper design award three times. The latter magazine also included him in its 2016 Wallpaper Powerlist of the world’s most influential designers.

RIFT

The collection

The RIFT collection by KERSTENS arose out of a design of the very first item: the dining table.
The design was created in 2018 by the need for a simple aesthetic with an honest construction.

By duplicating all elements, the table results in a solid and strong structure and has visually a certain finesse. The simple idea to split the pieces, divided into equal elements, creates an honest and visible construction that is self-supporting, with a nod to the Japanese design method. The metal details form an interesting tension and dialogue with the wooden and stone bodies, enriching the overall look and durability of the product.

Available in a variety of timbers and finishes. Hand crafted in Belgium.
